Mt. Fuji Volcanic Rock Lamp

$1,000.00

Mt. Fuji is an active volcano, reported to have erupted most recently in 1707. Today, there is much volcanic rock in the area surrounding the mountain, and this lamp is hand-carved out of two large volcanic rocks sourced near the foot of Mt. Fuji. An acrylic cylinder is placed within the cylindrical portion of the lamp to diffuse the light.

The lamp is compatible with 100V (Japan) and 110V (United States) currents. Additional adapters may be required for use outside of Japan and the United States.

Tetsuji Osano is a master craftsman based in Fujikawaguchiko, Japan, an area near Lake Kawaguchiko at the base of Mt. Fuji. Several times a year, he travels to remote locations throughout Japan to find rocks he deems suitable for crafting into a lamp. Each lamp is carefully handcrafted in his studio and sent with care by the craftsman himself.
